“The first rule of Fight Club is: You do not talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is: You do not talk about Fight Club. Third rule of Fight Club: someone yells stop, goes limp, taps out, the fight is over. Fourth rule: only two guys to a fight. Fifth rule: one fight at a time, fellas. Sixth rule: no shirts, no shoes. Seventh rule: fights will go on as long as they have to. And the eighth and final rule: if this is your first night at Fight Club, you have to fight”.
Screenyard’s rooftop cinema continues at Jam Park with Fight Club — the anarchistic, violent and brilliant cult 90s movie from director David Fincher. Rooftop Cinema will be bringing you the best in cult moves in our very own pop-up cinema on the top floor of Jampark. Grab a bite or a beverage in Jampark’s diner Eatery Park before a screening in our open-air but fully heated and weather-friendly rooftop.
When you wake up in a different place at a different time, can you wake up as a different person? The mundane existence of a product liability evaluator and insomniac (Edward Norton simply known as the narrator), who is addicted to self-help groups, is turned upsidedown when he meets a sado-masochistic anarchist Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) who is secretly plotting to overthrow civilization. As their friendship grows, they become establish in a secret society of “fight clubs” where men act out their aggressions and violently beat one another to a pulp. In the meantime, the evaluator falls in love with Marla (Helena Bonham Carter) who is also addicted to self-help groups, but is unable to act on his desire for her.
